Yacutinga
Lodge & Wildlife Nature Reserve is located relatively
close to the waterfalls.It offers the opportunity to
complete the visit to Iguazú by developing activities
related to the environment which lead you to discover
the mysteries of the Selva Misionera, escorted by experts.
Yacutinga Lodge is the only eco-tourist project in Argentina.
It is a hotel with a characteristic architecture keeping
harmony with the surroundings. It is encircled by the
National Parks (Argentina & Brazil) and the Uruguai
Provincial Park, preserving 560 hectares of Selva Misionera
with an important population of menacing species in
danger of extinction. These 560 hectares of rainforest
were declared Private Natural Reserve and form part
of the tripartite project called “green corridor”.
The hotel offers 40 highly comfortable rooms with private
bathroom, a restaurant that serves typical food, bar
and swimming pool, to enjoy nature in the maximum of
comfort. The area of the Private Reserve preserves an
important biodiversity wealth, totally far away from
crowds. You can benefit from open air activities, all
of them with high eco-tourist content: sailing down
streams along dense forests, bird watching and fauna
sightseeing in general, and organized walkings along
thematic paths guided by experts. Representour offers
two and three-night all-inclusive packages, as well
as longer stays for groups with a particular interest.
Services include round trip transfer to the meeting
point (in the vicinity of the international airport),
sailing the Rio Iguazú, sailinging streams, seven
different thematic paths, specialized escorts, accommodation
and hotel services of international category; the whole
thing in a relaxed atmosphere –almost magic- immersed
in a spectacular nature. The rooms are spread around
the rainforest near the main building, where the restaurant,
bar and reception stand. Many of the products used in
the cooking, are taken from our own vegetable garden
, in an attempt to reach self-sufficiency.

It
is one of the most sought sports species, indigenous
to South America and mainly from the Paraná basin,
place where it abounds. It is famous not only for its
extraordinary shape, but also for the resistance it
offers to fishermen. It belongs to the “salmonidae”
family and it represents the caracinidos order. Its
habitat is the entire paranoplatense basin, i.e., the
one formed by the Paraná River and its tributaries,
and the De la Plata River up to the place where its
waters continue to be fresh, before it mingles with
the salt waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Catching it is
possible at any place in the paranoplatense basin, prevailing
in the Province of Corrientes. Aggressive fish, endowed
with great energy and force, very acrobatic gold-coloured,
its mouth with sharp teeth. There are two species, not
too different one from the other, both with same characteristics.
These fishes, of template waters, can be caught all
the year round. It includes fishing in all its forms:
fishing with a bait to fishing with a fly. Its shape
varies according to the environment, it can reach the
25 kg. in the Alto Paraná region.
